These are the last of the summer cabbage to be planted. Any later an they wouldn't be ready before the first frosts came. S. S. A. Agricultural Services provids the staff for planting and harvesting the cabbage.

The cut is not bad for first early cabbage. We'll walk over them again when they have grown and cut what cabbage are left. S. S. A. Agricultural Services provided the staff for harvesting the cabbage.

We plant the cabbage four rows on a 72ins (182.5cm) butt. They are 14 ins (35.5cm) apart.

The plants are grown in peat blocks. Every plant as to be put in the ground by hand. Many thanks to S. S. A. Agricultural Services for getting the staff to us at such short notice.
